You really wouldn’t believe my horror when it came to going through these pictures to edit. Foolishly, I went out for a large Wetherspoons breakfast before taking these pictures and so in half the shots I forgot to suck my belly in and others were just unflattering regardless. This has to be the absolute worst thing about being small busted, it completely throws my belly out of proportion (which is obviously where any extra pounds decide to stick themselves). I’m not overweight by ANY stretch, yet my silhouette looks really bad, especially just after eating. That would be why I tend to give bodycon a wide berth. Good grief.
It’s clearly a rule I’m willing to bend for the sake of a festive knit though! Much as I love the look of this dress, it must have been designed by a muppet because the sleeves are joined on at a bad angle, making it awkward to lift my arms. Also something I can only put up with a couple of times a year…
I hate it when clothes clearly haven't ever been tried on by anyone in the design team. Still, I'd put up with not being able to lift my arms if the dress was that nice!
ReplyDeleteAww, the dress is so pretty and what belly? You look fabulous! xx
ReplyDeleteI don't see a belly! I like the seasonal sweater dress. It looks lovely on you.
ReplyDeleteI really don't see any tummy! I have exactly the same problem- small bust equals really visible tummy-(food baby!) but I can't see it on you!
ReplyDeleteThe dress is really pretty, though I also can't abide things with tight arms!
I am yet to see this tummy you speak of! x
ReplyDeleteI can't see any belly! You're being unkind to yourself Sophie, you look perfectly in proportion. Life is way too short, enjoy having the body you have it's beautiful just as it is.
ReplyDeleteIt's a cute dress so the bizarre arm thing is a shame. You look enviably svelte and gorgeous to me, so I say keep tucking into the Wetherspoons breakfasts and don't worry about it! Loving those burgundy tights too! xxx
ReplyDeleteYou look slim and lovely to me! I haven't tried a Wetherspoons breakfast but there's a couple of veggie options which really do appeal! Great tights and boots! x
ReplyDeleteThe dress looks great. Such a shame it is annoying to wear. I have the same problem with a small bust, I thought it was only me who worried about it!
ReplyDeletehahai know what you mean about bust to belly proportions i am the same!!! if only i had bigger boobies heehee!! regardless of that you look great and i wouldnt have even noticed your tummy! you look real slim! and i love the jumper dress and boots, you look really cosy!xx
ReplyDeleteTotally worth restricted movement! You look lovely.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about proportions... the curse of the small busted eh?
I think the dress looks really cute, but I can understand what you mean with the arms, I also have a blouse that is cut so strange, that it makes it impossible to lift the arms... Well, sometimes I think maybe it's the problem of my body, but as I know quite some of my friends have these problems too, I think it's best to blame the shop ;-)

Some clothes really are the most uncomfortable, it makes you wonder what the designers were thinking! I do love a bit of snowflake/fairisle knit though xxx
ReplyDeleteI love that outfit that dress is fab and you look really slim (as always in my opinion) x
ReplyDeleteI love this dress and I thought you looked really slim in these photos!
ReplyDeleteMaria xxx
Love this outfit, it's so wintery! :) You look so slim! I hate that awkward sleeve thing. I always find that with jumpers like these xx
