Attraction

Dress – Asos, top – charity shop, tights – no idea, boots – Yull, necklace – New Look

This is what I actually ended up wearing to the wedding reception the other weekend. I decided to go for comfort over over-dressing as it was an ex-colleague of my husband’s so not even anyone I really knew. The boots were for driving in and swapped for my gold piped black velvet shoes once there. The dress has only been worn once or twice and has proved to be a really nice length and fit so I hasn’t banked on any wardrobe malfunctions, but oh I couldn’t have been ore wrong. Anyone else been foolish enough to tumble dry woolly tights before? I’m not making that mistake again! Static that would not wear off! The dress cling to my legs and backside like crazy making for great annoyance and probably looking like a total muppet. Brilliant.  Cue two hours of me standing awkwardly in a packed pub with nothing but some silent rugby and iced oj to numb my unease.

Have you heard about the Yull shoe designing competition? I know I’ll be entering!

  1. Oh, I don't have a tumble dryer so thankfully haven't yet fallen into this trap. I like the outfit, it looks really good, although I can't tell if your dress has strawberries or flowers on it :)

  2. I have a static maxi which gets shorter and shorter with woolly tights... I think driving makes it worse too!

    Your outfit looks good!

  3. I'm soooo static even without a tumble drier! It's a nightmare, I should plug myself into something and save on electricity :(

  6. It's a pity about the static as you look super pretty! When we were trying bridesmaids' dresses over half term, there were some purple ones I loved but my sister was having weird static problems over her bottom with it!

  7. I hate static! What a shame. For clingy dresses and skirts I spray with hairspray and pin a safety pin into the seam, it works but it a little more difficult with hosiery!
