Dress – Peacocks via ebay, top – Tesco, tights – no idea, brogues – TK Maxx, Wig – Wonderland Wigs (March wig)
Those of you with sharp eyes may have noticed that I’m looking a little different today, I’m wearing a summer dress. It could possibly be because I’m wearing a wig! When the lovely people at Wonderland Wigs wondered whether anyone was interested in reviewing a piece I couldn’t accept quickly enough. I’ve had a rather rotten relationship with my hair during my youth. It’s tough enough trying to muster up self esteem in your teenage years, but having the most fluffy, ghastly hair made it all the more difficult. I seriously considered shaving it all off and wearing a wig instead, but I was dissuaded by friends. The last two years have seen somewhat of a turnaround for my locks though, now a bad hair day can be laughed at, I know that it’s nothing compared to a decade of it driving me mad. So, back to the present, I had a jolly good snoop at all the styles and chose this one as it is a delightful length with whimsical curls and a swept fringe. In my head I am convinced I’m a blonde so it frequently surprises me when I catch sight of myself with my brown barnet. Funny eh? I feel somewhat akin to Alice in Wonderland with the wig on, ready for anything to happen.
I think it suits me! It’s pretty darn confortable to wear and really natural (ok apart from the length – but I did go for a long one!). My appetite has most certainly been whetted for wigs, this blue Katy Perry one would fulfil all my blue hair ambitions for sure. I also couldn’t resist searching for the ‘Sophie’ wig to see what shares my name and I happen to love it! So much so that I’m giving one away! A black face frame razor cut wig. Looks fabulous.
