The Olive Tree

restaurantrestaurant2

A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to dine at The Olive Tree in North Walsham, Norfolk with a Groupon voucher. I am really keen to eat out locally this year, so this deal for a three course meal for two was just up my street. The restaurant itself was really pleasant, a lovely relaxed atmosphere for casual fine dining.

For starters I chose French onion soup which was divine, really rather delicious. Husband chose a king prawn dish which he said was rather good.

We both plumped for steak and chips with a baked garlic bulb and garlic mayonnaise with a generous stack of beer battered onion rings. What a treat – the dish was presented in a lovely way and it was jolly delicious.

Desserts – Husband chose a mint chocolate ice cream pot dish (I fail to remember the name) and I had a citrus posset with shortbread crumble which was a perfectly refreshing end to the meal. What a lovely meal. If we’re nearby again we’ll be sure to drop in.

I’m always checking out the latest offers on Groupon, I’ve bought several deals and never had any issues redeeming them. If I can get some money off then that’s all good by me! I have another couple of Groupon treats to share with you at a later date too. Have you bagged yourself any bargains?

Thanks to Groupon for subsiding my meal!
